Native Americans have used Cayenne (frutescens or Capsicum annuum or
red pepper) for around 9,000 years as food and medicine. It also
contains vitamins A and C, as well as carotenoids and antioxidants.
Chilies, which originated from America, are one of the nightshade families of plants, like potatoes, eggplants and tomatoes.
Cayenne pepper is something that everyone would need to have as a
medicine because research reveals that it has medicinal and health
improvement properties, not to mention the ability to prevent
hemorrhage, heart attacks and cold. But, we’re going to focus on using
Cayenne in stopping external and internal bleeding in critical
situations that require immediate action.
Apply hot pepper powder directly on the bleeding cut or laceration.
Doing so should stop the bleeding in 10-15 seconds. If the wound is
bigger, dissolve a teaspoon of red pepper powder in a glass of warm
water and drink it as quickly as you can. For smaller cuts and scratches
use Cayenne tincture.
Cayenne is a powerful styptic (anti-hemorrhagic substance which has
the ability to stop bleeding in a wound when applied on it). It stops
the flow of blood by contracting tissues or blood vessels, coagulating
the blood. It also disinfects the wound, so you don’t have to worry
about any infection.
According to Dr. Schulze red pepper should come first when concerning
first aid! The vitamins found in red pepper serve to destroy bacteria,
at the same time boosting the immune system
